The ADSVA has a private appointment at 11 am with The Valentine Museum to get up close and personal with Art Deco and twenties vintage items from their collection. The visit will be led by Nichol Gabor, Nathalie L. Klaus Curator of Costume and Textiles and former ADSVA board member. $10 for members and $15 for nonmembers

Meet the ADSVA at the former Trailways bus station in Peterburg (now the Griffen Lounge), for refreshments before we head over to Secondhand Rose* for vintage clothes shopping and Old Towne for antiques. All in preparation for the Picnic!

Doors open at 6 p.m., movie starts at 7 p.m.
Join us at 6 for a look at the theater and brief talk about the film and the theatre before the movie. All are welcome to join us in costume!

Annual Tweed Ride
November 15, 2026
It's time once again for the Art Deco Society of Virginia's Tweed Ride! Join us for a jaunty ride through the streets of Richmond while dressed in our favorite fall textile: TWEED! We'll start with a registration and hydration period beginning at 11am at Penny Lane Pub where the ride will start and end. Bring your favorite two-wheeled steed and off we'll go to see some of Richmond's Art Deco and otherwise vintage sights. Along the way we'll stop for photo ops and vintage clothes shopping before returning to Penny Lane Pub for a well-earned snack. The ride is FREE! Rain cancels.

Every two years Members of the International Coalition of Art Deco Societies (ICADS) convene for the ICADS Biennial International Art Deco Conference in a city selected for its noteworthy Art Deco architecture. Each International Conference brings together top scholars, global leaders and Deco enthusiasts for a week of lectures, tours, meetings with local governmental and cultural officials, and social activities in historic Deco settings. More information coming soon.
